Over the years my personal style has evolved a lot, and what I now know, is how important it is to know what works for your body type and to wear clothes that make you feel good. Not every trend is meant for every person and there are no rules saying you have to try this and try that. Each season we are introduced to the “it” trends but it shouldn’t change your whole wardrobe; it should simply complement it. Find out which trend works for you and chose wisely about what to really invest in. Note that the key to styling a trend is to pair it with classic pieces. Each Tuesday I will be highlighting a new trend either in fashion, food, or living that I think you should consider. This week’s edition is the perforated fashion trend for spring.
Perforated fabrics from pierced, hole punched, or laser cut is a trend that’s making a big statement this season. Whether you try leather or mesh, this style is a different look that can either be sporty or luxurious. If you thought perforated garments were restricted to the gym, then think again! Perforated fashion has something for everyone. You can start off small with mesh details on your watch, bags, or sleeves. Or you can go big or go home with sheer tops and skirts for a sexier look. The first time I saw this trend walking down the runways at fashion week I immediately judged it as it not for me. I’m not sporty and I never will be. But on further examination, I see that if styled correctly, it can be feminine with a slight edge which is so me! So for today’s post, I have put together my favorite pieces that best represent the trend. Share with us which is your favorite and what you’d like to see styled in in this week’s day to night story!
