Can you believe it’s already August? So many of you are talking about fall fashion and how ready you are to wear your sweaters and boots. I, on the other hand, want to hold on to summer with as tight as I can and never let it go. This is coming from a girl who loves fall fashion! Since I was pregnant for the first half of summer, and now dealing with a newborn for the rest, I’ve barely gotten to enjoy the beautiful weather. Okay, it’s hot, humid, and gross out, but we’re going to be cold before we know it, so enjoy it while it’s here! If you read my post yesterday, then you know that I am fleeing the city to the country. This trip could not come at a better time. I have been inside all day with a newborn and I need to lay by a pool before I go insane. What about you? What fun plans do you have in store for the weekend? Leave a comment because I’d love to hear from you!
Now let’s get to the post. There were a lot of interesting stories in the fashion world this week. Here are the links that I discovered and want to share with you.
ONE DAY YOU’RE IN THE NEXT YOU’RE OUT: Have you heard that Alexander Wang is out at Balenciaga? Big changes are ahead for both Wang and the Balenciaga brand. It’ll be interesting to see how Alexander Wang bounces back. Hopefully he will refocus and rejuvenate his own brand.
FIRST DAY OF CAMP: Everyone’s favorite comedy, Wet Hot American Summer, is back today on Netflix! All of your favorite campers have returned and we get to see how it all started. Who’s binge watching with me?
BOOK CLUB: Since I will be spending my weekend by the pool, I will need a good book to read. Here is Vogue’s summer reading list, I hope I can find a great summer book here.
PIN OF THE WEEK: Say goodbye to avocado toast and say hello to falafel spiced tomatoes and chickpea flatbread. I cannot wait to try this recipe while the tomatoes are still in season. This recipe is perfect for your next dinner party or just a tasty lunch.
HELLO GORGEOUS: Manolo Blahnik announced this week that they are launching a handbag line! From what I have seen so far, the bags are just as exquisite as their shoes. Which one is your favorite?
DRAMA: Are there big changes ahead for the famed Birkin bag? Jane Birkin, the handbag’s namesake, is demanding that Hermès rename the Birkin Croc bag due to the inhumane way the bag is produced. So would you buy the bag without the Birkin title?
That is all for now, have a great weekend!
