Is it autumn yet? I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for cooler weather. Seriously, with the high temps and muggy weather, I am reaching my limit. Hopefully, prepping for my fall wardrobe will make it bearable. When each new season starts, I like to go through my closet and get organized. Going through old sweaters and boots can be a fun game of “I love this” and “I never want to wear this again”. Purging some of those old clothes is a great way of finding out which items you love and which you hate. Your style and tastes change; it’s important that your wardrobe changes too. With summer coming to an end and fall about to begin, now is the perfect time to create a capsule wardrobe. What is a capsule wardrobe? It’s a mini wardrobe made up of really versatile pieces that you completely love to wear. Don’t get caught up with buying the latest “hot” trends. Make a closet that may have fewer items, but that tells a story and shows your individual style. A necessary part of dressing for fall is tackling layering. Once you have mastered this, it will be so much easier getting ready in the morning. Keep layering in mind when shopping; buy pieces that you know can be worn together so that you aren’t left with a bunch of stuff that doesn’t match. Determine which colors you prefer to wear before shopping. They don’t all have to be the same hue, but choosing complimentary shades will make it easier to mix and match your items. Putting together the perfect fall wardrobe can be overwhelming to some. With this guideline below, I have simplified it a bit so you can have fun shopping this season. You’ll be able to see in this collage how many different ways you can pair these pieces together. You will be a layering pro in no time!
