The weather may be gloomy this weekend, but nothing can ruin my first Mother’s Day! I am so excited to spend the day with my family. The cool thing is that I celebrated my birthday on Tuesday so it’s been a fun filled week. Spending Sunday with my boys will just be icing on the cake. Let’s hope that warm days will be here again because I can’t wait to start wearing my new spring clothes. I have been posting a lot of stories about my favorite trends this season, so check them out. In the meantime, here are my Weekly Finds where I share what links I discovered this week. Have a great weekend and don’t forget to wish your mom, grandma, or an important woman in your life a happy Mother’s Day!

Another week has come and gone and we are now at the end of April!  I cannot believe it.  I will be spending my weekend getting my apartment and family ready for visiting family members.  We are in for a busy couple of weeks with my birthday and Mother’s Day coming up.  All I want for my birthday is cuddle time with my sweet Cooper.  These days the only way I can get that is if I am holding his favorite blankie.  He will be turning 10 months on the 30th; I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up.  So I have a lot going on, but I’d love to hear what you are up to this weekend?  While you contemplate your plans, here are my favorite links this week.  Don’t forget to check out this week’s posts.  I am totally in love with these adorable baby clothes, plus I shared with you how to to style the very popular off the shoulder trend.  Enjoy, and get excited for next week. There are a lot of fun stories coming your way!

PIN OF THE WEEK:  I am always looking for new ways to decorate my tabletops.  I love all of these ideas to keep your vanity table stylish.

BALANCING ACT:  As a woman, I want to have it all.  As a mom, having it all means finding balance between taking care of the little one and finding alone time.  Often times, it’s a loosing battle.  These three mompreneurs give their advice on the trials and tribulations of being both a mother and a worker bee.

RUNNING TIPS FROM A PRO:  Speaking of balance, finding time to work out is a million times harder as a mom.  Once I find the time, it’s always the last thing I want to do.  I have some good news!  Refinery 29 sat down with Olympian athlete Sanya Richards-Ross and is reporting back her secrets on how to make running fun.  I will take this advice and run with it.

#LEMONDADE:  Over the weekend, Beyoncé took the music world by storm when she released her visual album, “Lemonade”.  The video was amazing but my favorite part has to be the way it was styled. If you loved it too then you have to read The New York Times’ interview with Beyoncé’s stylist to see how the magic was made.

FIRST MONDAY IN MAY:  The MET Gala is Monday and all eyes will be on the guests for what has become the biggest night for fashion.  Check in on ESL Tuesday to see who made my best-dressed list.  In the meantime, here’s my review from last year’s show.  Also, if you want to know more about the actual exhibit, here is all that you need to know.

RIP:  First David Bowie, and now music icon Prince has passed away.  His music will live on forever and there will not be another like him.  Raise your hand if you are watching Purple Rain and blasting his albums all weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUR MAJESTY:  Yesterday, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated the big 9-0!  The celebration has only just begun but the best part has to be these gorgeous photos taken by Annie Leibovitz.

PIN OF THE WEEK:  Never know what shoes to wear with your outfit?  I stumbled upon this article on Pinterest, and even though it’s a bit dated, I love Who What Wear’s tips on what to wear with every shoe color.

FASHION ICON:  Grace Codington sat down with Refinery 29 about maintaining that infamous red hair, Vogue, and more!  Is it just me, or does Grace seem totally down to earth and chill?

DIY:  I stumbled on this inspiring article by Sugar & Cloth about creating a garland for over your chandelier.  I mean how beautiful is this?  And it is so perfect for spring!

FOR THE HOME:  I have wanted to do a gallery wall in my apartment for a while now.  I need to collect prints and find the best frames and layout.  Love Taza has amazing style and, after seeing her gallery wall, it makes me want one even more!

SUPPER TIME:  Cooper is almost 10 months old and solid foods are becoming a big deal in our lives.  I am constantly looking for new and fun ways to make sure Cooper gets his fruits and veggies.  I am hoping that one of these cookbooks will motivate me to start thinking outside the box for meals.

BRUNCH:  Going to brunch on the weekends in NYC is practically a requirement.  However, why go out when it could be so easy to host your own brunch?  Don’t know where to start?  Don’t worry; Glitter Guide will help you out!

That’s a wrap for this edition of Weekly Finds.  Check out my posts this week like guest blogger Johnny Pomatto’s review of The Jungle Book and 12 Dresses for Spring.  Have a great weekend!

The sun is shinning, it’s finally warm out, and I am planning on spending the weekend outside with my family.  Life is good.  I’ve been really busy lately, and I am looking forward to having a couple of days off from the weekly schedule.  Let me tell you, kids’ activities are time consuming and my son isn’t even a year old yet!  Over the weekend, it’s less about making sure my son is on the perfect schedule and more about having fun.  With the weather getting nicer, there will be so much more we can do outside.  I’d love to hear from my mom readers out there.  What do you like to do with your kids on the weekends?  Speaking about motherhood and activities, I have a lot less time for me.  However, in the evenings, when Cooper is asleep, I get more time for myself.  I spend a lot of it on my computer reacquainting myself with the outside world.  So, without further ado, let’s talk about the links I discovered this week.  Have a great weekend and drop by again soon for what’s new on the blog.

INSPIRATION: A Sparkle Factor’s spring style has been on fire and I’m obsessed lately.  I love everything she has been wearing.  This post for instance takes two trends I want to try: fringe and off the shoulder, and the results are fabulous.

GOOD EATS: I may not go out to dinner as often as I would like but, when I do, I want to make sure it’s great.  There are no guarantees in life, but when you go to a David Chang restaurant, you know you’re in good hands.  Have any of you tried his new restaurant, Momofuku Nishi?  It’s high on my list and I can’t wait to try it.

BOOK CLUB:  Bad news, hockey playoffs have started. This means about two months of my husband monopolizing the TV.  It’s actually a good thing because there has been nothing on that interests me.  After reading Vogue’s list of favorite books for spring, I have decided to make reading my new nightly activity.

SPRING FLOWERS:  I’ve always wanted to be the kind of woman who has fresh flowers in her home.  I buy them and throw them in a vase, but it never looks great.  Then they die so fast, it just doesn’t seem worth it.  I have decided to seek out some help. Hopefully Lauren Conrad can teach me the right tricks to a beautiful floral arrangement.

HASHTAG GOALS: Now that I am a mom, I want more than ever to become a good baker.  My mom is one of the best and it’s something I want to be able to perfect.  I love this funfetti cookie recipe from Cupcakes and Cashmere.  I plan on trying them this weekend and I hope that it’ll make me a hit at my next play date.

PIN OF THE WEEK:  I am always looking for a new podcast to listen to and this list from The Style Sprinter of the best fashion and beauty podcasts out there is exactly what I need!  Check it out and hopefully it’ll speak to you.

Another week of motherhood has gone by and it was a great one!  Cooper and I had a play date just about every day and there is nothing like seeing your baby laugh and talk with his mini peers.  Highlight of the week, Cooper’s first time on a swing!  It was a bittersweet moment because I know I’ll blink and he’ll be going off to college.  Maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but I am well aware that every day is precious because time does move fast.  This week’s links that I have discovered for you mamas is all about functionality.  When you have a new baby, the smallest tasks can be so hard to accomplish.   That is why you need all of the help you can get.  Hope these links help make your day-to-day life a little easier.  Have a great weekend and don’t forget to find some mommy alone time!

WRAP UP:  I am in love with this wrap-around cardigan.  This sweater can be styled in several different ways, keeps you warm, and can cover you up while you feed your little one.  It’s a win-win in my book and I may just get one in every color.

SAFETY FIRST:  All signs are pointing to Cooper being an early crawler.  That being said, it’s time to get ahead of the game and baby proof my apartment.  How hard can it be right?  Hopefully these tips will help.

DRESSES FOR YOU:  I love Sonnet James’ slogan: play dresses for playful moms.  This sums up perfectly how I want to dress and feel every day.  I am a dress girl so this collection really speaks to me.  I want to keep wearing dresses but I need to be comfortable.

ORGANIZE YOUR LIFE:  As mothers, we need a diaper bag; there is no getting around it.  However, there are no rules out there that state you have to carry a bulky bag that screams, I have diapers in here!  Check out these elegant and chic diaper bags from Kate Spade New York.  No one will even suspect what you’re carrying inside.

KEEP THEM BUSY:  Now that Cooper is four months old, I have to work overtime to keep him entertained.  I have discovered this fabulous toy that will stimulate him and still keep him under my watchful eye.  Also, when he outgrows it, it turns into a tabletop so he can draw on it.  Win-win!

ME TIME:  I know it can be hard, but finding time for yourself is super important for any mom.  I struggle with this everyday. Heck I’m  working overtime to get this story finished before naptime ends.  Hopefully this article from Glitter Guide will help you find the balance between mom time and you time.

I would like to start off by thanking all of you for your patience while I took a mini break from the blog.  Many of you who follow me on Instagram and Twitter, may know that I recently had my baby boy.  That’s right, Cooper Alan is now apart of this world and my life, and I couldn’t be happier.  The past month, I have been a little busy getting ready for Cooper’s arrival.  Now that a little bonding time has passed, I am happy to be back to blogging because I missed you all!  My weeks aren’t what they once were, but I am getting used to life with a baby and really good at typing with one hand.  One thing is for sure, I am starting to miss fun summer plans.  Usually this time of year, I’ve spent many hours by a pool and enjoyed fun summer activities in the city.  Life may be a bit different, okay a lot different, but I am working hard to find my way back to a happy medium.  That being said, I hope that this weekend my husband, baby, and I can get out of the apartment for some NYC summer fun!  In the meantime, I have had a lot of downtime roaming the Internet and found some fantastic must-reads for this edition of Weekly Finds.  So this weekend, while you stay in with the AC blasting, check them out!  Also, don’t forget to visit the blog and read up on my recent outfit posts.  There are a lot of great ideas for how to dress your best this summer!  Have a great weekend!

FINGER LICKIN’ GOOD:  When I was in the hospital after giving birth, my brother brought me a fried chicken sandwich from David Chang’s new eatery, Fuku. There isn’t much to the sandwich but the red sauce makes it mouth watering good.   If you’re a fan of Chang’s ramen bar and fried chicken dinner, then this is the sandwich for you!

PALETTE PLAY:  I am a big fan of Victoria McGinley’s blog.  She has the most stunning pictorials and this decorating post is no exception.  I am in love with how she has combined Mediterranean blue and gold. I’ll definitely keep this in mind when I redecorate next.

AS IF:  It’s the 20th anniversary of one of my favorite flicks, Clueless. From an early age, this movie’s costumes inspired my own fashion and still do to this day!  If you too are a fan then you have to read Elle Magazine’s interview with the film’s costume designer, Mona May.

SUMMER BEAUTY:  One thing you need to know about me is that I am cursed on the hair front.  I have very fine, limp hair that has zero volume.  That is why this Refinery 29 article about the best new hair texturizers out there is right up my alley!

FUN IN THE SUN:  Have you jumped on the flamingo train this summer?  Lately flamingos have been all the rage from prints on accessories, dresses, to pool toys.  If you’re not on board yet, take a look at this blogger’s flamingo themed pool party to inspire you.

AIN’T HE CUTE:  My baby Cooper may not know it yet, but he is going to be the most stylish boy in Manhattan.  While browsing online, I found out that Joe Fresh sells baby clothes.   I really can’t decide which bodysuit I love more, but at these prices, I can definitely have more than one!
